Title Infantry officer's sword
Nationality German
Period c 1936
Sold

This sword, with an excellent nickel silver blade by Hoeller of Solingen, has a brass hilt, with extensive oak leaf motif cast into it, and a scabbard, which has 80% plus respray finish. These swords were carried by army officers and senior NCOs in the early years of the Third Reich before the army dirk relaced their use.

The plastic wrap on the grip is in excellent shape, as is the wiring.

I received the bayonet today. Very nice example. I will keep an eye on your site for possible future purchases.

I received the silver Verdienstkreuz this morning. Your swiftness and dedication was very much appreciated and, though the envelope arrived with a Post Office sticker saying it had been found open or damaged, the cross was unharmed and looks beautiful. Thanks for your time.
