Title Household Cavalry cuirass set
Nationality British
Period c 1950
Sold

This is the type of armour still worn today by the Household Cavalry on parade (eg outside sentry boxes in Whitehall). This example, with the original London tailor's label of Firmin & Sons Plc, has all its original calf leather lining intact and in good condition. It has a silver-plated finish over mild steel with a brass trim.

It is complete with a white leather buff waist belt and brass shoulder straps.

The bayonet just arrived. I'm so pleased with it, it's fantastic.

Thanks for a thoroughly great service. I shall definitely be purchasing more from you.

Found the item a little on the expensive side and a bit disappointed that you were unwilling to bend a bit on the price of the Officer's Tunic Eagle (half the fun of buying, after all, is the haggling), but impressed by the speed of delivery and the quality of the item. Was well worth it in the long run...
