Title Fascist Rome/Berlin Axis pin
Nationality Italian
Period 1936-39
Sold

This commemorates the diplomatic manoeuvures of Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, which, starting in 1935, gradually drew both regimes together, culminating in the Axis and Pact of Steel Treaties with Mussolini finally committing himself to attacking France in summer 1940.

This is a good, clean example in an EPNS finish on a soft metal base, probably tombak or gilding metal. There is barely perceptible wear to the highlights.

Prov: from the J.R. Gaunt & Son Ltd. Pattern Book Archive, sold at auction by order of the National Army Museum, London.

I have in the last six months inherited my late father Alan Swain's police memorabilia collection along with much paperwork receipts etc. I would like to pass on to you my thanks for such good dealership with my father going back to the late 80s and well into the 1990s.

I collected my iron cross this am from the sorting office. Thank you for the medal; as before it's a very nice one. Thank you for your prompt service and I look forward to purchasing more in the future from you and your wonderful site.
