Title Celtic cloak pin, Latene culture
Nationality Austrian
Period c 100 BC
Sold

This is a fine example with a nice, even black-green bronze patina overall and exceptionally large with finely detailed turned rings to the head. This cloak pin was in all probability carried by a warrior, possibly even a chief, and there is only one small patch of corrosion to the head.

Like the Celtic knife/sword, this comes from an old Bristol collection.

The parcel has well arrived. Thank you for the nice bayonet.

It goes well with my collection.

Found the item a little on the expensive side and a bit disappointed that you were unwilling to bend a bit on the price of the Officer's Tunic Eagle (half the fun of buying, after all, is the haggling), but impressed by the speed of delivery and the quality of the item. Was well worth it in the long run...
