Title Carte de visite, British captain, Queen's Own Corps of Guides
Nationality Indian
Period c 1890
Sold

Nice example of an officer (in number one uniform - see silver braid cap and bullion epaulettes) from a crack cavalry regiment (silver chains on leather crossbelt only worn by QOCG). The crossbelt does not sport pickers and chains, indicating an undress/combat scenario. (The attribution to QOCG is tentative.)

Having had time to have a relax and a good look at the brooch, am very pleased with it, many thanks for sending it on promptly and safely. Will keep an eye on the site.

Just a short note to let you know that I have collected the Police fur cap this morning from the Post Office. I am really happy with it, and for sure I will give a thumbs-up to your service. This was the first item I ever bought from you, and I hope it will not be the last.
