Marked on the back of the blade 'Manufacture d'Armes de St Etienne Mars 1877'. This is the classic bayonet the French would have carried on their second bolt action black powder rifle before the Lebel was introduced in 1886. Most of the original blue finish remains to the scabbard. The grips are a little dark from old oil stains, but are essentially in good shape. The blade has lost its factory finish, but is still nice and clean. |
