MAGNIFY

This is the classic French sidearm, but was used after the Franco-Prussian war in all the small colonial wars that France was involved in for the next couple of decade. It was the first breech-loading rifle carried by the French army, a basic bolt action with no magazine. Dated 1873 and marked for the St Etienne arsenal on the back of the blade.
