Clean example of Bavarian merit cross, no swords, no crown. On original silk ribbon. (NB: Gold finish only.) This award would typically have been given to doctors or senior nursing sisters for the care of the wounded. Front line service would have had swords in place on the ribbon ring or the cross itself.
