Title Atjeh Campaign (1873-85) miniature medal
Nationality Dutch
Period 1885
Sold

The Atjeh Campaign took place in Indonesia and was fought to suppress a rebellion against Dutch rule. Atjeh was a province of Dutch East Indies with a largely Muslim population, famous more recently for suffering high casualties in the 2004 tsunami.

The condition is excellent, although the ribbon is somewhat scruffy and faded. The medal measures 20mm across and is made of unhallmarked silver.

Today I received your flag. It's very nice and looks genuine to me. Beautifull crisp colors! It looks barely used. It's a nice addition to my ww2 collection. I would even say, one of my top pieces.

Thanks for your excellent service and top communication!

I will check your site more often to see if you have more nice pieces.
