Title Army Educational Corps badge & 3 others
Nationality British
Period c 1920s
Sold

The four badges (clockwise from top left): the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, the Army Signallers sleeve badge, the Army Educational Corps (AEC) and the Royal Armoured Corps. All are typical of the type produced between 1920 and WW2. The AEC, raised in 1920, was the lineal successor to similar establishments dating back to the 18th century.

The Signallers sleeve badge would have been worn on the left-hand sleeve and backed by a brass oval disk with four holes for brass keepers. This design replaced the earlier cloth or bullion examples of the pre-1914 army.

They are all die-struck gilding metal badges. Their condition is generally good, with a little wear and tear from use. The AEC badge, in particular, is in excellent condition, with all the design nice and sharp.
