The 94th, originally raised in 1760 and after many disbandings and re-raisings, was brought into the British line in 1802, disbanded in 1818, re-raised in 1823 and served until 1881, when it was amalgamated with the 88th (2nd Bn.) to form the CRs. The 94th had extensive honours for the Peninsula War in Spain and for Seringapatam, India. This is a die-struck brass badge with its original brass lugs. |
