Title 48th Cavalry cap badge
Nationality British Empire
Period c 1939-43
Sold

This rare cap badge, apparently made of bazaar cast white brass (or native silver?), but possibly with a silver plate finish now somewhat worn, was carried in the early years of WW2 until the unit was disbanded in 1943. The ancestor of this unit was the Central India Horse.

The condition is excellent for its age.
