'R. Ackermann's Costumes of the Indian Army, No. 23'. An extremely rare print of a native regiment from the old Bengal Army, pre-Indian Mutiny period. During the Mutiny, this regiment mutinied at Shahjehanpore and was therefore removed from the Army List.
Damaged in several places and rebacked, with part of the lower title missing. Original colours still bright. Some evidence of dirt staining from age.
