Title Model 1909 army sabre
Nationality Argentinian
Period c 1912
Sold

This is a magnificent example, maker marked for Weyersberg, Solingen, of an Argentinian army officer's sabre. A typical example of the German export drive in the 19th and early 20th century to successfully capture the bulk of the South American arms market, both in swords and firearms. Red glass eyes to lion hilt.

Just to let you know that the bayonet arrived safely this morning by Royal Mail. I am delighted with it and it will be put to very good use at some forthcoming events.

Just a short note to let you know that I have collected the Police fur cap this morning from the Post Office. I am really happy with it, and for sure I will give a thumbs-up to your service. This was the first item I ever bought from you, and I hope it will not be the last.
