Clean example with much factory polish extant to blade (36"). Scabbard has been carefully machine cleaned. Hilt has original leather binding with a few old inert worm holes. There are no ordnance marks/inspection stamps; however, this is an extremely scarce sword and hard to find in nice condition with scabbard. This pattern is would have been carried by the bulk of the Light Brigade in their famous charge at Balaclava during the Crimean War, October 1854. |
